Angela Falisi was a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow in the Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch (HCIRB) within the Behavioral Research Program (BRP) of the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) from 2015-17. She earned her Master of Public Health in Social Behavior and Community Health from the University at Albany, State University of New York School of Public Health. Prior to pursuing her MPH, Ms. Falisi worked at Cornell University Health Services focusing on the implementation and evaluation of several behavioral health programs for college students. Ms. Falisi also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Society, with a concentration in Social Behavior, Health and Technology from Cornell University. In her undergraduate thesis through the Department of Communication, she explored the relationship between text messaging as a prime for social support and its impact on how an individual perceives burdens in the physical environment.

Her areas of interest focus on health literacy, digital and mobile technology and social media, particularly how they affect health and inform innovative health education and communication strategies.

Ms. Falisi became a Presidential Management Fellow/Program Specialist in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences in July 2017.
