Temitope Erinosho was a Cancer Research Training Fellow at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) from 2008-2010. She received her Doctorate in Nutrition from New York University and holds a Masters degree in Nutrition from the University of Delaware. Dr. Erinosho's research interests focus on the role of nutrition and physical activity in relation to obesity prevention, especially among young children and their families. She is also interested in the dietary patterns and health of immigrant populations, particularly African immigrants in the United States. During her doctoral training, Dr. Erinosho worked as part of a research team that examined nutrition and physical activity policies, and the dietary intakes of children attending group daycare centers in New York City. As a fellow, Dr. Erinosho worked on projects that compared the fruit and vegetable intake of adults using survey mode, evaluated attitudes and knowledge of fruit and vegetable recommendations among adults, assessed the association between the perceived food environment and reported self efficacy for fruit and vegetable consumption, and examined the association between caregivers' acculturation and the dietary intakes of preschool-aged children.
