Mimi Lising, M.P.H., manages communication activities in the Office of the Associate Director (OAD), Behavioral Research Program (BRP), Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Ms. Lising spent nine years at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) Office of Science Policy, Planning and Communications, where she managed the institute's multicultural outreach and communication portfolio. Prior to NIAMS, Ms. Lising worked at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to establish its National Diabetes Education Program and National Kidney Disease Education Program, and she also worked at Kaiser Permanente on several chronic care management programs. She began her Federal career as a Presidential Management Fellow.

Ms. Lising earned a Master of Public Health in Community Health Sciences from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine.
