Andrea Goergen, M.H.S., R.D.N, P.M.P., is a member of the communications team in the Office of the Associate Director within the Behavioral Research Program (BRP). Ms. Goergen works across BRP branches on extramural communication and programmatic project management.
Prior to joining BRP, Ms. Goergen cared for US Veterans as a clinical dietitian with the Veterans Health Administration. She also worked with the Social and Behavioral Research Branch of the National Human Genome Research Institute as a research program manager in the Social Network Methods Section under Dr. Laura Koehly.
Between earning her Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from the University of Maryland and her Master of Health Science degree in international health focused on social and behavioral interventions from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Ms. Goergen served as Peace Corps volunteer for the Healthy Schools program in the highlands of Guatemala.
